THE WARDEN OF LIES

REVIEWS
for 'The Warden of Lies'
*****
One thing that needs to be made absolutely clear is that you have to go into this story with an open mind. I've honestly never read anything like this.
The story itself was not flawless but of all the self published books I have read this one was the best.

I wasn't entirely sure what to expect going into The Warden of Lies, but Jake Rab surprised me not just in the sheer ambitiousness of such a massive storyline, but also in the way he subverts readers' expectations and effectively turns a hero's journey on its head.

Absolutely hooked from the first page. I have been swept into a new world. Created and filled with magic. Incredible world building, early civilization and magical creatures. With Nature and Lore all wrapped up in mystery. I couldn't stop reading and look forward to book two!

PROGRESS REPORT
Currently working on:
'THE WARDEN OF LIES'
'DEATH RATTLE GENERAL'
I have returned to working on my debut novel, revising it to a slightly disturbing degree in order to give it the polish I think it deserves.
Apologies to those who have already read this. I just see so much wrong with it that I can't recommend or market it to new readers in good faith.
I'm also working on a new novel titled, 'DEATH RATTLE GENERAL', set in the same world as my other novels but far in the future. It follows an old general who must reawaken his past to rescue the child of his favourite maid. Think of General Iroh exercising in his small cell, breaking out, and sieging Bah Sing Se. It's like that, but darker. (Obvs).
Next:
'THE WARDEN OF DREAMS'
The sequel to WOL.
I already have this outlined, but I don't feel like drafting it until I'm done with the changes I have planned for WOL. I also have some things I would like to do with "THE MORBID HEALER", so I may squeeze that in as well. (Mostly touching up the ending to make it more fulfilling, right now it reads a bit rushed).
SoonTM:
'THE WARDEN OF ROT'
'THE MISTRESS OF BLOOD'
'THAT RUINOUS OATH'
'THE WARDEN OF ROT'' is the third and final book in 'THE GIRL WHO PROMISED' trilogy. I know all the major beats. Some very exciting and interesting things happen in the book, which is why I want to eventually finish it.
I also want to write the second Alice novel, as well as something called 'THAT RUINOUS OATH', which is a bit like a cross between The Punisher and Goblin Slayer.
My books keep getting darker, but that's because of the world timeline. The closer I get to the End, the lighter the books should be. Maybe not in content, but in hope.
